Seeks CM’s intervention into revival of Mohra Hydel Project

Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNS): J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President & MLC G. N. Monga called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and discussed with many developmental issues and sought her immediate intervention into the revival of Mohra Hydel Project, which can produce a good quantity of electricity.
Apart from revival of Mohra Power Project which is lying defunct for since last 20 years, Monga sought the intervention of Chief Minister into the resolution of various issue of public interest, he apprised the Chief Minister of other issues concerning people in the valley.
Monga told the Chief Minister that State Govt should take measures to revive Mohra Hydel project, keeping in view the scarcity of Electricity especially in the winter month in the entire valley, as result people in the valley suffer badly on account of electricity.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He urged upon the Chief Minister that Jatti Bridge (Uri) which is a vital project should be completed on war footing basis as the ongoing work on this bridge is very slow and time consuming. He also urged that construction work of parallel road on the right bank of Jehlum from Zehmpura to Shadara (Uri) should also start on priority basis, thereby ensuring a great respite to people of Uri.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti while giving patient hearing assured that the issues raised by him (G. N. Mong) will be considered on priority basis, besides effective measure will be taken to complete the ongoing developmental works on priority basis. (KNS)
