Srinagar, Nov 4 (KNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday expressed grief over the demise of senior National Conference leader, former MLC and retired Joint Financial Commissioner Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi, father of Lal Chowk MLA Sheikh Ahsan Ahmad Pardesi.

He prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength and patience for the family to bear the irreparable loss.

Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi, a veteran political leader who had served as a Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, passed away on Tuesday night at the age of 88.

Azad also extended his sympathies to the relatives, friends and well-wishers of the deceased. (KNS)
