Delaying the recruitment process is detrimental to the interests of young aspirants of J&K

Srinagar, June 25 (KNS):  Former Cabinet Minister and Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir expressed displeasure over the long delay made by State Services Recruitment Board for announcing the merit list of Junior Engineers. 

 
Issuing a statement to the media, Mir urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene into the matter as the candidates aspiring for the jobs have to sit idle for months altogether and lose their precious time for joining the government jobs for which they have applied. 
 
Expressing concern over the issue, Mir has also urged the Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta for immediate intervention into the matter so that the deserving candidates are not kept on lingering and justice is delivered them by engaging the successful candidates with respective assignments. 
 
He also decried the slow pace functioning of SSRB and said that delaying the recruitment process for so long is equivalent to hamper the progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
 
"It is very unfortunate to see that the aspiring job seekers are being taken for granted by SSRB and because of one or the other pretext the deadline is not adhered to which results in the considerable delay of offering jobs to the qualified candidates. Their tenure in government service is further shortened by such unfortunate delays. It is my request to LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta to intervene into the matter and consider the pleas of these youngesters at any earliest and releive them from this irrational deadlock," he said.
 
Mir emphasized that the government must devise a proper mechanism which is governed by definite set of rules where deadlines are honoured and future of the youth is not handled with imperviousness and negligence," Mir asserted.(KNS)
