Srinagar, Sep 23 (KNS): Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) and former agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir on Friday asked the state dispensation to provide compensation to the farmers whose crops got damaged by hailstorm in north Kashmir’s Tangmarg area on last evening.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mir expressed grief over the loss suffered by the farmers due to the hailstorm in several areas in Tangmarg.
Mir said the state government is in deep slumber and have left the frmers on god’s mercy.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“State Govt should depute a team to these areas to access the damage caused by hailstorm on last evening,” he said.
He said that the farmers and fruit growers suffered a huge loss due to the hailstorm. “I appeal the state government to redress the sufferings of farmers and fruit growers who suffered tremendous loss due to hailstorm and heavy rains in the district so that they could feel a sigh of relief,” he said.
