Jammu, Dec 22 (KNS): Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir on Saturday expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic death of seven labourers from Uri, Baramulla in a landslide in Char Dham area of Uttarakhand.
Extending his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families, Mir urged the J&K Governor to enhance the ex-gratia relief of Rs 2 lakh each announced in favour of next of kin of the deceased.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“In today’s time, Rs 2 lakh is a meagre amount and the Government must enhance it suitably. Also, the government of Uttarakhand is duty bound to provide full compensation to the families of the deceased,” he said in a statement. (KNS)
