Urges authorities to ensure adequate facilities for Muharram

Srinagar, Oct 04 (KNS): Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir on Tuesday condemned the banning of English daily ‘Kashmir Reader’ and demanded immediate revocation of ban on its publication.
Mir while terming the banning of newspaper as ‘undemocratic’ said that the authorities should have served prior notice to media house and provided them an opportunity to be heard.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, Mir urged divisional administration to put an adequate arrangements on place for the Muharram.
He urged administration to ensure uninterrupted power supply and drinking water facilities in the Shia Muslim dominated areas.
“I appeal to the administration to make adequate arrangements for the Muharram so that the people belongs to Shia community would not suffer,” he said. (KNS)
