Bandipora, Nov 14 (KNS): The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Sunday urged the people to join Congress Party in the fight against wrong policies of BJP Govt at Centre.

Mir also urged the Party cadres to make the Jan Jagran Abhiyaan successful.

JKPCC President made these comments while kickstarting Jan Jagran Abhiyaan from Bandipora District and also addressed a massive public meeting on this occasion.

JKPCC Vice President Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Gulzar Ahmad Wani,Party Spokesperson Bashir Ahmad Magrey (Former Legislators), Surinder Singh Channi,DCC President Imtiyaz Parray, Ismail Ashana and various other Party Leaders and DCC Presidents addressed the public meeting.

Congress Party today launched Jan Jagran Abhiyaan which was the Party’s Nationwide programme from Bandipora District aiming to register its strong protest, besides highlighting the unprecedented price hike, joblessness, economic crisis and various other issues concerning common people under BJP rule.

Addressing the massive public gathering, JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir urged the people to join Congress Party in the fight against the Centre’s anti people policies, misrule and mismanagement, which were responsible for pushing people to the wall.

Mir told gathering that BJP Govt at Centre was punishing people under the garb of unprecedented price hike, whileas a few Corporates were earning thousands of crores every month, but the common people were economically badly hit,on every count.

"A few Corporates in the country seems more important for Modi Govt, whileas the basic needs of people were being ignored, which could not and should not be tolerated," JKPCC President added and said Congress party will vigorously fight against the wrong policies of the BJP Govt to ensure justice to common people, who have been badly affected due to the mismanagement and misrule on the part of Centre Govt led by PM Narinder Modi.

Congress Party will aware the people about what the Centre Govt was doing for the sake of benefitting Corporates, who were growing rich day by day and common people becoming poorer, while seeking people’s cooperation in the fight against the BJP’s anti people policies.

Mir also urged the Party workers to gear up for the challenges and extend their activities in every nook and corner of J&K, besides reaching out to people with the Party’s policies and programmes.

JKPCC President also expressed serious concern over deteriorating security situation in J&K and blamed the Govt for failing to ensure peaceful atmosphere, laying emphasizes over ensuring safety of people.

JKPCC Vice President Haji Abdul Rashid, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Bashir Ahmad Magrey and Surinder Singh Channi also addressed the Party convention.

The leaders expressed serious concern over the various issues especially the joblessness and inflation and said Congress Party won’t compromise on people problems, it will continue fight against the Centre’s wrong policies towards the people at every appropriate forum.

DCC Presidents Imtiyaz Parray, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Sahil Farooq, Abdul Gani Khan, Hajin MC President Irshad Wani, PCC Secy Mohd Iqbal Mir and others also addressed the public meeting and appealed people to join Congress Party in the fight against hypocrisy on the part of BJP Government. 

On this occasion hundreds of political workers from Bandipora joined Congress Party under the leadership of JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir and vowed to work for the Party, as that, Congress was the best platform for every right-thinking person to raise his/her voice against discrimination, injustice and wrong policies towards the people.
