Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir filed Nomination Papers for By Elections to Anantnag Parliamentary constituency, he was accompanied by NC Working President, Former Chief Minister Omer Abdullah, Former PCC President Peerzada Mohammad Syed, senior leader Tariq Hamid Karra, Sakina Itoo and others NC INC Leaders.
After the nomination process, the leaders G.A. Mir, Omer Abdullah and others were joined by MP and General Secretary AICC Ambika Soni and addressed a massive election rally at Khanabal. The Leaders while addressing huge gathering appealed people to defeat the designs of fascist and communal forces, hell bent upon to harm the secular character of the State.
Taking a dig at PDP for adopting wrong policies towards the people, the leaders blamed the ruling dispensation for misleading masses for the sake of securing votes, as a result there is great anguish among the people.
They said PDP betrayed by the people for electoral gains, but this time people have decided to give a befitting reply to it(PDP) by casting their voting against PDP candidates both in Anantag and Srinagar Parliamentary Constituencies, for the fact, they (people) are feeling alienated and dismayed due to the wrong approach of PDP towards them.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Speaking on the occasion Former Union Minister & General Secretary AICC (MP)appealed people to strengthen the Secular forces in the State, as the ruling dispensation, which is taking directives from RSS is supporting & strengthening the communal forces vitiating atmosphere of peace and harmony to serve their vested interests.
Ambika Soni also appealed people to get united in their resolve to fight against the menace of PDP RSS combination, responsible for the deteriorating situation in the entire valley.
She described the Ruling Dispensation as a threat to unity in the State and urged upon the people to defeat the PDP in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, as that will be a real defeat to communal and fascist forces.
Those who addressed the gathering included Taj Mohi U Din, Nasir Aslam Wani, Sakina Itoo, Usman Majeed, Dr. Shafi, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Mohd Amin Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Viqar Rasool, Ab.Majeed Larmi and others. (KNS)
