Srinagar June 28 (KNS) : Former Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir today extended heartfelt greetings to people on the eve of Eid Ul Adha and prayed for their wellbeing.
In his message, Ghulam Ahmad Mir termed the occasion of sacrifices a torch bearer and inspirational for all the generations to come while refreshing the memories of unique sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) to please Almighty Allah.
The auspicious occasion teaches us to be patient and kind to everyone in the society irrespective of caste or colour and adopt the path of peace and truthfulness which happens to be a louder message of Eid Ul Adha. I sincerely pray that Eid Ul Adha brings prosperity and happiness and usher in an era of peace, progress and development in the country and in J&K.
I wish people a very happy Eid Ul Adha and urge that this auspicious occasion be celebrated with austerity while taking care of those who need help, Mir added.
On this occasion Ghulam Ahmad Mir reiterated that the Govt must ensure adequate facilities for the public , especially availability of electricity, rations and also urged that the salaries of employees and financial assistance of old aged, widows and others be released on priority basis.(KNS)
