Srinagar, June 02 (KNS): Senior Hurriyat (G) leader and Insaf Party chairman G A Gulzar condemned police raid on APHC Head Office Peer Bagh Hyderpora to stop a meeting of the Majlis Shoura to be convened by its Assistant Secretary General G N Sumji.
In a statement issued to KNS, G A Gulzar said that almost all the senior leaders were put under house arrest including Chairman Syed Ali Geelani, Secretary General, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Assistant Secretary General G N Sumji, Provincial President Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Chief Organizer Altaf Ahmmad Shah and Spokesman Ayaz Akbar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He termed the police action as a worst form of state terrorism and added that the perpetrators of such barbaric means to foil down peaceful political meetings within the four walls of an office of a political forum APHC of International repute, loudly declare that APHC represents the real sentiments of the people and the theory of those people who once termed politics as a battle of ideas is a myth.
The statement cautioned that imposing a ban on the freedom of expression is a brazen violation of human rights. (KNS)
