Srinagar Sept 29 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir today visited agitating Kashmiri Pandits at Ganpatyar Habbakadal in Srinagar district and expressed solidarity with them.
G.A. Mir accompanied by Senior Party Leaders joined Kashmiri Pandit brethren, who were sit in Dharna led by “Kashmiri Pandit Sangarash Samiti and extended full support to their genuine demands.
Accoriding to statement issued to KSN reads, Congress Party fully supports the demands of the agitating Kashmir Pandits and urge upon both Centre and State Govts to address them, on priority basis.
Apart from other demands, the agitating pandits were demanding extension of PMs job package, accommodation to all deserving non-Migrant families, extension/providing of necessary financial assistance to the 808 Migrant Kashmir Pandits, etc in Kashmir valley and resolution of various other issues concerning them.
On this occasion G.A Mir said that present dispensation was ignoring genuine demands of every section of the J&K, who have suffered enormously in one way or the way.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir were made to suffer for no fault of theirs, G.A. Mir added sand said mere tall claims with regard to resolution of various issues concerning people would not serve any purpose, rather Govt must take effective measures to address genuine issues of Kashmiri Pandit Brethren and other sections living in J&K, who have suffered equally due to the lackadaisical attitude and wrong policies adopted by both Centre and the State Govt.
I would urge upon the Centre Govt to full fill their promises and address the genuine issues concerning agitating Kashmir Pandit brethren and sought timely resolution of various other issues concerning other sections of people.
