Anantnag, Feb 12 (KNS): Accusing Power Development Department (PDD) for ignoring their plights, the residents of several areas of Anantnag district here have demanded complete redressal of their genuine grievances.
According to KNS correspondent, a delegation comprising of local residents of Kamad, Sadoora, Dailgam, Brienty, Larkipiora, Dooru, Lawarmunda and Shangus told him that they are reeling under darkness from last three days due to the non-availability of electricity in their areas.
“We are facing immense hardships since last three days as the department has failed to provide electricity in their areas.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe appealed the PDD officials several times to take necessary steps in this regard but unfortunately, the department has failed to do so thereby leaving people to suffer,” they said.
They said that it is not the first time when they are reeling under darkness but whenever it rains, the PDD officials cut the power in their areas. “We have been continuously pleading before PDD officials but nothing has been done in this regard,” they said.
They later appealed Chief Engineer PDD, Bashir Ahmad Khan to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievance at earliest. (KNS)
