Says magisterial probe will cover up whole truth; ‘If LG sincerely wants to inquire the incident, he should order judicial probe’

Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Congress Pradesh Committee president, G A Mir on Friday said that the Congress party from the very first day of the Hyderpora encounter has been demanding a judicial probe into the incident.

As per Kashmir News Service (KNS), talking to reporters in Srinagar, Mir said that magisterial probe will cover up the whole truth behind the encounter. “If LG sincerely wants to inquire about the incident then he should order a judicial probe in this matter as soon as possible,” he said.

He also said the laws which were passed by the BJP government have ruined the farmers of the country.

Mir said that farmers constitute a major population of the whole India and they are the backbone of the country, so if farmers will get ruined then so will the nation.

He said that for the last one year Congress leaders under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have joined farmers at roads and stood up for their rights.

He said that in UP farmers disallowed the rallies of BJP ministers so now PM Modi felt the need to listen to the demands of the farmers. “All the issues should be discussed in the parliament regarding the farmers laws. The three laws which have been withdrawn should be discussed in the parliament. Until and unless a bill regarding the withdrawal of three laws get passed in the parliament, the farmers should not believe any such claims,” Mir said.

He said that the Congress has always talked about the farmers rights and have appealed to the PM Modi to give justice to them.

Regarding LG’s statement of wiping out militancy in Kashmir in two years, he said that for the last 35 years everyone has been saying that they will wipe out militancy from Kashmir and everyone in the valley is against violence.

“The people also want a peaceful solution to this issue. If government wants to bring back normalcy in J&K, then the process of dialogue should be initiated. Only dialogue with the people and stakeholders of the valley can bring everlasting peace in J&K,” he said. (KNS)
