From Birth to Rebirth: Kashmiri Mother's Sacrifice for Son

Kupwara, July 24 (KNS): In a heart-touching act of love and sacrifice, a mother from Devar Kakarpati, Lolab, has given her 23-year-old son, Tasdeeq Hussain Khan, a new lease on life by donating one of her kidneys.

Tasdeeq, son of Khalifa Khan and a Class 12 student, had been battling severe kidney disease for the past four years. Born with only one functioning kidney, his health worsened over time, forcing him to depend on regular dialysis. Doctors advised an urgent transplant, but no suitable donor could be found within the family.

In a decision only a mother could make, Tasdeeq’s mother stepped forward to donate her kidney. The complex surgery was successfully carried out at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, under the care of expert doctors.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Both Tasdeeq and his mother are now recovering well. Relatives at the hospital expressed their emotions, saying, “She gave him life when he was born, and today, by donating her kidney, she gave him life once again. Words cannot describe this sacrifice.”

The story has touched hearts across the Valley, with thousands on social media calling her the “Brave Mother of Kashmir” and praying for the family’s health. The family has thanked the doctors, nurses, and medical staff, appealing to people to pray for Tasdeeq’s speedy recovery.(KNS)
