Four Drug Peddlers Arrested In Baramulla

 
Baramulla, Oct 14 (KNS): Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society Friday Police arrested four Drug Peddlers and recovered multiple type of drugs from their possession in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. 

The police in a statement said that 83 Grams of Contraband Brown Sugar, 105 grams of Charas like substance and 542 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon were recovered from the possession of arrested drug peddlers at NS Bridge Uri Ushkara Crossing Baramulla and Hamrey Pattan. 
                                                                                                                                                                                                          "On routine naka checking at NS Bridge Uri, Police under the supervision of Inspr. Imtiyaz Ahmad, SHO PS Uri arrested one drug peddler identified as Sajad Ahmad Abassi son of Ghulam Rasool Abassi of Gowhalta Isham Uri, District Baramulla and recovered 83 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance from his possession," it said.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
"Similarly, at Ushkara Crossing Police under the supervision of Inspr. Showkat Ahmad, SHO PS Baramulla arrested two drug peddlers identified a Ishfaq Ahmad Beigh @ Seth Jamal S/O Ab Hamid Beigh, Irfan Ahmad-Rather @ Phoolan Devi S/O Mohd Sabir Rather Both residents of Fatehpora Khawajabagh Baramulla and recovered contraband 542 tablets of Spasmoproxyvon from their possession," the police added. 

In addition, the police said thet at Hamrey Pattan, Sh. Mohammad Nawaz, SDPO Pattan received information regarding drug peddling at Hamrey Pattan, Police party under the supervision of SI Aeraf Ahmad, IC PP Palhallan arrested drug peddler identified as Asif Ahmad Bhat S/O Abdul Salam Bhat R/O Anderkoot Sumbal, District Bandipora nd recovered contraband 105 grams of Charas like substance from his possession.

The police said that the cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Uri, Baramulla, Pattan and investigation set in motion. General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(KNS)
