CM Omar Abdullah holds review meeting, directs officials to stay alert and act swiftly
Doda, Aug 26(KNS): Four people have died and multiple structures have been impacted in Doda district over the past 24 hours due to ongoing rainfall, according to officials.
Officials said that two people died after a house collapsed, while two others lost their lives in incidents related to flash floods caused by persistent rain.
Damage to homes and other buildings has been reported in various parts of the district. The local administration has initiated relief and rescue efforts and remains watchful of the situation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Authorities have advised people, particularly those in hilly and low-lying areas, to remain alert as rainfall continues.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a meeting in Jammu to review flood mitigation efforts in response to continuous rainfall.
He instructed officials to remain on high alert and implement all required measures.(KNS).
