Dr Itoo Chairs Meeting, Took Review of the Current Situation

 

Baramulla, September 26(KNS): With an aim to achieve better and accurate results with respect to the monitoring of COVID-19 positive cases in the district, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today directed the concerned functionaries to formulate micro-plans at different levels so that appropriate and necessary measures are taken.

DC made these remarks during a review meeting chaired by him to review the current situation with regard to COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, DC took a detailed review during which it was informed that the recovery rate of patients in the district stands at 67.7%. The meeting was also briefed about various necessary measures that were taken by different agencies to control the spread of infection.

While expressing dismay over the abysmal recovery rate of COVID-19 positive cases,  the DC stressed for working with more efficiency and dedication so that the rate is improved. He also directed to properly monitor those patients who have been kept in home quarantine adding that district administration has established efficient COVID-19 wellness centres where the patient are being treated properly.

Dr Itoo also directed the concerned functionaries to keep those patients in home quarantine having no co-morbid complications. He also urged the people to follow all the requisite SOPs and guidelines especially maintaining social distancing and using face masks so that risk of infection is mitigated.
