Srinagar, Mar 23 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Senior Leader and former MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar has expressed serious concern over the alarming situation arising out of coronavirus across the world . He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to strictly follow the lockdown, preventive measures and guidelines as suggested by administration, medical experts and other concerned agencies, so that precious human lives are saved and the deadly disease is prevented from spreading further. Ishfaq has appealed to people to stay indoors to contain the virus and prevent its spread.


The former MLA in a statement issued here has demanded shifting of detainees lodged in different jails outside Kashmir to Kashmir on humanitarian grounds and because of restrictions would not be able to visit them.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Ishfaq Jabar has requested Home Minister of India and Lt. Governor J&K that the detenues who in past has not any criminal record or have any serious charge and the persons who are in their advanced age and are suffering in different ailments should be shifted to Kashmir so that their families may not put their lives at risk in order to meet their loved ones because of COVID-19 ” he added.

Ishfaq has also demanded release of two ex Chief Ministers Omer Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, NC General Secretary Ali Mohd Sagar and all other political prisoners in wake of Covid-19 scare. (KNS)
