Forest department seizes illicit timber in Mawer

Kupwara, Sep 10(KNS) : Forest department officials seized two Horses with illicit timber in mawer near Tulwari Shanoo Village of Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday. 

According to forest officiala a naka was laid by forest officals at shanno Tulwari near stone crusher in Mawer Range of Langate forest division, While checking the two Horses carrying illicit timber measuring 10 Cfts was seized while the sumglar fled from the spot.

They said the illicit timber was taken to control room Langate.

Forest Conservator North Kashmir,Irfan Rasool, also confirmed the seizure of illicit timber and said the timber was brought from Dudhoul Haril, further investigation is in place, he added. (KNS)
