Srinagar, Nov 11 (KNS): Senior superintendent of police Shopian, Tanushree, on Friday termed the killing of foreign Jash-e-Mohammad militant who was active in the district since last 8 months as a major success.
Addressing press conference here at Shopian, the SSP said that for the last several days, security grid had been receiving inputs about a Fidayeen attack and target killings in the district. However, killing the foreign militant identified as Kamran Bhai alias Hanees in today's Gunfight proved to be a big success for us.
"Security forces launched a predawn operation at Kapren area in Shopian following a tip-off on the presence of terrorists there. The terrorists fired at the search party leading to a gunfight," she said.
She also said that the killed militant Kamran was an A+ category militant and what terror actions he was involved in is still under investigation(KNS)
