Srinagar, Aug 04 (KNS): Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir said that Indian forces and police task force have let loose a reign of terror upon the hapless people who are peacefully protesting against the state atrocities and demanding their birth right of self-determination in the areas of Adijan Kulgam, Palhalan, Pampore, Sopore, Chattabal Srinagar and other adjoining peripheries injuring more than two hundred persons out of which dozens have received critical injuries due to indiscriminate firing of bullets and pellets and it seems that India has started an undeclared war upon the Kashmiris.
In a statement issued to KNS, Advocate Zahid Ali, Spokesperson, Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir said that in addition to the great loss of human lives, the forces are targeting the properties and vehicles of the people which depict that government forces deployed here are bent upon the genocide of Kashmiris.
He said that at different places, the vehicles were smashed and more than thirty scooters have been burnt down. Moreover during the nocturnal raids, hundreds of innocent youths have been apprehended and during their apprehension, the inmates are badly maltreated and domestic goods are destroyed.
Practically people are facing jungle-raj and the important administrative posts are handed over to such people who besides being most ineligible are involved in a number of crimes but for being notorious for following all anti-people policies of the government beyond any limit for proving their loyalty, they are given priority.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThese postings indicate the sheer indifference of the present regime towards the hapless and helpless people just for the sake of their chair, said JeI spokesperson.
Jama’at feels that for achieving the goal of the on-going peoples movement, it is indispensable to upkeep and maintain the moral and Islamic values at every cost and no such action is committed even inadvertently which may be detrimental to the unity of the people or helpful for anti-movement elements to make any vicious propaganda against the peaceful public movement. Inevitable constraints and compulsions of the travelers be given due regard and the people associated with the most essential public utility departments such as health-care and media and the patients visiting hospitals for treatment be given a concession in travelling during the strike periods.
Compassion and forgiveness be the general policy while dealing with the public.
Jama’at impresses upon the public to follow the calendar issued by Joint Hurriyat Leadership strictly and not to issue any separate program without the due consent and approval of the Joint Leadership. (KNS)
