Srinagar, Mar 06 (KNS): The Female Multi Purpose Health Workers (FMPHW) employees on Monday staged protest against the government for ‘failing to release their salaries from past nine months’.
The protesting employees assembled outside the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office Baramulla and were raised slogans like ‘we want justice’.
The protesters including men and women were demanding immediate release of their pending salaries.
Protesting employees told KNS that the government has failed to release their salaries from past nine months thereby resulted in immense hardships to the employees.
“The school authorities of our children are compelling us to pay the fee of our wards, which is impossible for us as the government hasn’t released our salaries from past nine months,” the protesters said, adding that the government is leaving them towards starvation and it is not possible at this time pay the fee of their wards.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We appeal to the government to release our salaries at earliest so that our families would feel a sigh of relief,” the protesting employees demanded, adding that they have been serving the department with dedication but the government is turning their eyes blind.
The protesters later submitted memorandum before the DC Baramulla, demanding immediate release of their salaries.
However, the protesters later dispersed peacefully. (KNS)
