Jammu, December 14 (KNS) : Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has marked a significant milestone in strengthening its freight infrastructure with the dispatch of the first inward rake to the newly inaugurated Chhann Arorian Goods Shed.
A BCN cement rake was loaded at Bharatgarh Goods Shed under Ambala Division on December 14 and dispatched to Chhann Arorian Goods Shed, located between Jammu and Kathua. The rake is expected to arrive on December 15, making it the first inward rake since the inauguration of the goods shed on December 9.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The newly constructed goods shed at Chhann Arorian is designed to provide a modern, efficient platform for both inward and outward movement of goods. Railway officials said the facility will play a key role in enhancing logistics efficiency and supporting commercial activities across Jammu and Kashmir.
Northern Railway’s Jammu Division stated that it remains committed to improving freight operations by ensuring faster, smoother, and more reliable cargo movement.(KNS)
