Fire broke out at Kupwara’s Laderwan Forest

Kupwara, Sep 29 (KNS): A massive forest fire broke out in Laderwan forest in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday morning.

As per reports, the fire has engulfed the forest compartment No. 55 of Laderwan Kupwara but no massive damage or casualty has been reported so far. The area falls under the forest range of Kralpora division.

An eyewitness told Kashmir News Service (KNS) , that the Laderwan forest has been burning since the morning of Wednesday and the fire is still not doused off.

The Fire has engulfed forest compartment No 55 of Laderan Kupwara.

The employees of forest department have reached the spot to douse the flames. Locals have said that the forest protection force personnels have also reached the spot and further details are awaited.

Meanwhile, the forest department are taking the necessary action to douse and control the fire. (KNS)
