Srinagar December 19 (KNS) A sharp political exchange erupted on Friday after Jammu and National Conference spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar responded to PDP leader Iltija Mufti over her demand for an FIR against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Dar said Mufti’s outrage was selective and politically motivated. He asked her to seek similar legal action against her own mother for an alleged incident from 2004. “For the cause of women’s rights in general, I implore you to file an FIR against your mother for the same crime committed in 2004,” Dar said in a post on X.
Earlier in the day, Iltija Mufti wrote to the police seeking registration of an FIR against Nitish Kumar. She also accused CM Omar Abdullah of defending CM Nitesh Kumar, as a lone a Muslim CM Omar Abdullah should criticize Nitesh Kumar instead Mehbooba Mufti she said. (KNS)
