Anantnag, Jan 4 (KNS): Senior National conference leader and Member of legislative Council Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri along with District President Anantnag Dr Mohd Shafi, party leaders Iftikar Hussain Misger, Rafiq Ahmad Kochak and others visited several areas of Anantnag assembly constituency under ‘Awami Rabita Muhim’
Addressing gatherings at Mir-Danter, Danter, TB Shah, Cheechan and Pehroo, Dr Veeri said that Mufti led state government miserably failed to mitigate problems of common public.
Cautioning the government, Dr Veeri said that fiddling with state’s special position will have dangerous consequences.
“Any attempt to fiddle with the special position of Jammu and Kashmir will have devastating consequences which can lead even to dismemberment of state with union,” Dr Veeri said while reaffirming the stand of party to uphold that unique status of Jammu Kashmir in a federal constitutional arrangements with honor and dignity of its inhabitants as envisaged in manifesto of Naya Kashmir and National conference
He said that NC is ready to contest Municipal polls if PDP led government will keep its promise.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“This government is ‘U’ turn Sarkar. They say one thing but after one week they take U turn. If this government will hold the municipal elections in due time as announced by them, National conference will give befitting reply by sweeping the polls,” he added.
Dr Veeri also condemned arrest spree launched by police in Anantnag district. He said that police has detained innocent youth without any justification in Bijbehara and Anantnag town.
He urged Police and district administration to release all the detained youth.
District President Anantnag Dr Mohd Shafi, party leaders Iftikar Hussain Misger, Rafiq Ahmad Kochak also addressed the gatherings. (KNS)
