Fida Firdous expressed gratitude to Kupwara administration for resuming OPD service at SDH Langate

Handwara May 30 (KNS): OPD Services at Sub District Hospital Langate has been resumed after remaining suspended amid second wave of Covid-19.

 

Prominent  social activist and writer Fida Firdous  in a statement issued to Kashmir News Service has paid his gratitude  to DDC Chairman  Irfan Sultan  Panditpori, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and Dr Gowhar Nabi BMO Langate for their efforts to bring  convenience to Public in these tough times when the district is under lockdown due to surge in COVID-19.

 

Dr Fida  in a statement said that in District Kupwara's  Langate  Medical  block there is a sub District  hospital  which was converted  into Covid Hospital  by the administration  to mitigate  the covid related issues due to which OPD of the said heath care institution was shut down. Mr Fida in the statement  further added that the sub District  hospital  Langate  is only  heath care facility upon which thousands  of population  is dependent  in this remote area of the district. Keeping  this into consideration Chairman  District Development Council Mr Irfan Sultan Panditpori got OPD of the hospital  reopened  in the adjacent buildings  of heath department  presently occupied  by administration of Government Degree  College

Langate.

 

The hospital has closed down its  OPD  following the alarming surge in Covid-19 cases in the district and hospital authorities decided to convert the hospital into Covid Hospital. Due to this authorities has decided to closedown  its out patients departments (OPDs) and outdoor  patients  were  badly  affected  by this step.

 

Mr Fida has acknowledged  efforts  of Mr Irfan Sultan  Panditpori and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara for re-opening  of OPD in this remote area.(KNS)
