Srinagar, May 03 (KNS) : In a bid to give relief to farmers, orchardists, J&K Govt has decided to keep Fertilizer, Pesticides shops open during the lockdown period in Kashmir. 

According to an order copy that lies with, Kashmir News Service (KNS), the Government has issued an order to keep wholesale and retail shops of fertilizer and pesticides open in the Kashmir during the period of lockdown.

Director Horticulture, Aijaz Ah also convened a meeting today, to ensure the smooth functioning of pesticide seller's. Moreover, the Director Horticulture advised the Farmers/orchardists to contact their respective Chief Horticulture officers for any assistance. Furthermore, for the convenience of farming community a helpline number has been established in the Directorate 0194-2311484

The Directorate horticulture and orchardists expressed gratitude to LG administration for allowing fertilizers and pesticides to operate during the lockdown. 

The director of horticulture asked the orchardists to approach Horticulture officers of their areas for redressal of their grievances. (KNS)
