Kupwara March 10 (KNS): Kashmir Servers Foundation with district administration Kupwara organized a felicitation programme to celebrate women achievers of district Kupwara.
In a statement, a spokesperson said the foundation had selected 20 women achievers out of hundreds of registrations for the final award.
"The purpose to celebrate these women was to acknowledge the unnoticed women from unnoticed fields of unnoticed villages of Kupwara to uplift women entrepreneurs and traders and aware people about the different employment Avenues that can help our society in sustainable development."
It reads the function was adorned by DC Kupwara Sagar Doifode as chief guest, cluster head J&K bank Kupwara Shadab Mehmood, Principal Degree college Kupwara Professor Mohd Shafi Lone as guests of honour and many other dignitaries.
"Around 20 awards of achievements were distributed among the women achievers. NSS volunteers and other voluntary social workers were also felicitated with their laudable performance by Chairperson of Kashmir servers Foundation Rifat Wani, Mohd Shafi Lone And Shadaab Mehmood."
It further reads the programme is first of its kind in Kupwra and its objective was to make people aware of various fields of employment generation schemes for the rural people.
It added Kashmir Servers Foundation is a youth driven think tank that has members from different educational backgrounds. (KNS)
