Srinagar, Dec 08 (KNS): Accusing the Power Development Department (PDD) for ignoring their plight, the residents of Razdan Kocha fateh Kadal demand redressal of their genuine grievances.
The residents while talking to KNS said that the PDD officials started work of providing new transformer in the area but for some unknown reasons, the authorities even removed the electric polls which were erected by them.
They said that are wandering from pillar to post but nothing favorable has been done so far.
“A month back after several pleas the authorities agreed to provide another transformer in the area but after starting their work over it, the officials refused to complete the process and even removed the electric polls from the spot,” Bashir Ahmad, a local said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that they are facing tremendous hardships due to the “deplorable attitude” of the authorities. “We went to the PDD sub-division Khanyar in this regard where AEE, Bilal Jan has refused to provide the same to us,” he said.
He further alleged that some officials are reluctant to provide transformer in their area for their vested interests. “The officials involved in it should be booked for cheating with the public for their personnel interests,” he said.
The residents later appealed to Chief Engineer to look into the matter and redress the grievance at earliest.
Despite repeated attempts, Chief Engineer PDD, Bashir Ahmad Khan and AEE Khanyar could not be contacted for the comments. (KNS)
