Srinagar, Nov 28: Strongly reacting against the remarks made by Farooq Abdullah with regard to future of the state, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah on Saturday said the Jammu and Kashmir is a single entity and “no controversial solution to the Kashmir dispute will be acceptable”.
“The statement made by Farooq Abdullah is far from reality as Jammu and Kashmir has never been part of India but was occupied by this country at the time of partition. The occupation of the state was part of India’s expansionist designs,” Shabir Ahmad Shah said in a statement to KNS.
He said Farooq Abdullah always makes failed attempts create controversies and this way tries to undermine the invaluable sacrifices made by Kashmiris.
“The state is not the property of any family and no one has right to issue any self-styled statements regarding its future. The Jammu and Kashmir is an open reality acknowledged by the UN resolutions which imply that resolution to this dispute is still pending,” Shah said.
