Srinagar, Aug 13 (KNS): National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday voiced serious concern over the safety of Kashmiri Pandit government employees in the wake of a fresh terror threat advisory and urged the Union Home Ministry to intervene, asserting that the minority community staff were "very vulnerable".
"People should remember, and the governments should remember, that these are very vulnerable individuals. We should take care of this," the former chief minister told reporters here.
His remarks came a day after authorities asked Kashmiri Pandit employees to avoid attending offices till August 20 following an online threat issued by a little-known terrorists group.
Condemning the recent spate of terrorist incidents in the valley, including the killing of two migrant labourers from Chhattisgarh in Kulgam district, Dr Abdullah said both the public and the administration needed to remain vigilant.

JKNC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah also reacted to the knife attack on Akali Dal Chief and former Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal in Nanded, Maharashtra.
"We condemn what has happened and we pray to God for peace," he said.
When asked about the threat advisory and the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, Dr Abdullah said the matter required the highest level of attention and home ministry of india should look at this," he added.
Meanwhile, Security has been tightened across the valley ahead of the August 15 functions, with police and paramilitary forces placed on high alert. (KNS)
