KNS editor condoles demise, expresses sympathy with bereaved family

Srinagar, March 25 (KNS): Famous saint Peer Ghulam Mohi-ud-din of Kalipora area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district died on late Saturday night at his residence.


One of the family members told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that he died of heart attack at his home at around 12 am.

He said his funeral prayers will be held at 12 pm today at his ancestral village in Kalipora.

Peer Ghulam Mohi-ud-din was a famous saint and has great following of devotees. His death has been widely condoled by cross sections of the society.

Many political, religious and social organisations condoled his death and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, KNS chief Mohammad Aslam Bhat also condoled Peer Ghulam Mohi-ud-din’s untimely death.

He said Peer was a great social and religious reformer of his times and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. He also prayed for peace to the departed soul. (KNS)
