Prof. (Dr.) Kaiser Ahmad highlights need of such training

Srinagar, Nov 03 (KNS): F-IMNCI (Facility-based Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness) training was conducted at G.B. Pant/Children Hospital, Srinagar for eleven days and culminated today.
An official spokesman told KNS that the training focuses on providing appropriate inpatient management of major causes of neonatal and childhood mortality such as asphyxia, sepsis, and low birth weight in neonates; and pneumonia, diarrhoea, malaria, meningitis, and severe acute malnutrition in children.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelVarious Medical Officers and Nurses from periphery hospitals of the valley participated in the training.
At the end of the training, H.O.D, Paediatrics, Prof. (Dr.) Kaiser Ahmad and senior professor Dr. Muzaffar Ahmad Jan highlighted the need of conducting of such training programmes and its impact in reducing the Neonatal Mortality. Earlier, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Kanwarjit Singh encouraged the participants. (KNS)
