Jammu, Feb 25, (KNS): Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Friday said that the extension for the delimitation commission will only be fruitful if the new report will be drafted as per the aspirations of the people.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of party function at Gandhi Nagar, Bukhari said that the extension will be vague if the report will be again drafted in a close room without taking into consideration the issues and aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that it was clear that BJP had drafted the delimitation report to favour their own leaders instead of empowering the people of J&K.
Apni party demands that the delimitation commission should be utilised only to empower the people of Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
Replying to a question, Bukhari said that Burerocracy has its own style. But the political leaders are chosen representatives of people whose sole aim is to work for the people. So there is a great difference the two.
He added that India is a unified nation and there is issue if anyone outside burerocrat works here in J&K. But it is a fact that local burerocrats better understand the local problems and sensitivities.
It would be a good step if local burerocrats of Jammu and Kashmir are given the opportunity as they better understand the issues, sensitivities and priorities of the local people, Bukhari said.
He said that Apni Party believes in treating everyone equally. There is no restriction for anybody that to join Apni Party he or she needs to belong to a particular family or region.
Sky is the limit to anybody and apni party welcomes everyone who wants to join us in resolving the issues of public, he added.
He also said that centre government has made all arrangements to brink back Kashmiri students from Ukraine. Hopefully in next two days all the students will be brought home safely.(KNS)
