Expand vaccination drive, vaccinate media persons on priority: Rajeshwer

Srinagar, 21 May (KNS): Vice president of Youth National Conference Jammu province, Rajeshwer Singh said Jammu is not only struggling with rising COVID cases, but it's also facing a severe shortage of vaccines across Several districts,  administration should consider all media person as Frontline workers and to give them a priority for vaccination.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Rajeshwer said the administration should expand vaccination drive and give priority to media persons in vaccination for their Frontline work.

He requested the administration to speed up the vaccination drive, further said that in the whole Jammu province, Only Jammu district has an ongoing district vaccination drive for the age group of 18 to 45, but in Jammu also people are not able to get slots for vaccination. 

Singh further added that the administration should immediately start a vaccination drive in all districts of Jammu and Kashmir for the age group of 18 to 45 and urged for immediate measures to save lives especially in Jammu district where the death toll has mounted.

He adds that there is a shortage of hospitals beds, medicine, ambulance services and other facilities, which need to be addressed without delay.

Singh requested the administration to immediately make necessary changes to health infrastructure and also requested people to co-operate with administration and stay at home unless absolutely necessary and make use of masks.(KNS)
