Srinagar, Jul 09 (KNS): Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives during the protests that erupted on Saturday in South Kashmir, JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir termed the killings as ‘very unfortunate’.
While condemning the civilian killings, PCC Chief offered condolences to the families of deceased Amir Bashir of Verinag, Khursheed Ahmad Mir of Harwath Kulgam, Feroz Ahmad Mir of Bejan Kulgam and others who have lost their lives in the protest at various places in South Kashmir Today.
PCC Chief asked the forces to exercise maximum restraint and avoid civilian causalities as these are going to harm the peaceful atmosphere in the Valley to a great extent rather it will be quite difficult to bring the situation under control.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also urged upon the Government to take immediate measures for controlling the situations and ensure that causalities are evaded.
Appealing people especially youth to maintain calm and do not take law in hands, PCC Chief sought support from them (youth) in maintaining peace, so that the precious lives are not lost and normalcy is restored. (KNS)
