Srinagar, July 14(KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested an another absconding ex-militant after a period of 15 years, officials said on Wednesday. 

An official told Kashmir news service (KNS), that the arrested accused, identified as Ghulam Hassan son of Lassa Chopan a resident of Pahalgam Sigdi Tehsil in Mugalmaidan Kishtwar, wanted in case FIR No. 17/2006 U/Sec 302/364 RPC 4/25 IA Act registered at Police Station Chatroo. 

"An information was received through reliable sources and acting swiftly on this information, a special police team of PS Chatroo was constituted, " he said. 

The official said that the team led by Inspr. Sandeep Singh under supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Sh. Devinder Singh Bandral raided the suspected locations and arrested the absconder.
