Srinagar, Dec 21 (KNS): In a veiled attack to Pakistan, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that the decision of what to do in Jammu and Kashmir will be taken only by the administration here and the Government of India as the era of outside interference was over.

Addressing a press conference in Jammu, LG Sinha said which office will remain open and which will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir will be decided only by the administration and the Government of India and not by anyone else.

He also said the planned G20 preparatory meeting in Srinagar will be held in a secure and peaceful atmosphere as backbone of terrorism has been broken, while the era of outside interference was over.

He said police officers and intelligence agencies are keeping a record of who is part of the terror ecosystem and appropriate action will be taken against anyone who is part of the ecosystem, irrespective of his field or profession.

On Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra, the LG said there is no intention to stop anyone’s yatra, however, the decision will be taken as how the situation would be at that point of time.

He said all political activities are welcomed in Jammu and Kashmir, but anti-India activities won’t be allowed.

He further said salaries of Kashmiri Pandit employees, who are posted in Kashmir, but are on strike in Jammu hast not been cleared till August.

“The government has agreed to give them a breathing time for return, but no one will get salary while staying at home,” he added.

He further said all migrant Kashmiri Pandits have been posted at various district headquarters and there may be some whose issues are being settled down.

“We have a nodal officer who is monitoring the grievances of migrant employees and all measures are being taken to resolve their issues as it was not like one would sit home and get salary and also enjoy other perks,” he said. (KNS)
