Srinagar, Dec 30 (KNS): MLA Langate Er Rasheed Wednesday submitted the bill, seeking replacing of posts of governor and chief minister with Sadr-e-Riyasat and Wazeer-e-Aazam, in the assembly secretariat.
In a statement to KNS, he came down heavily on NC and PDP for not showing the required response to the historic high court judgment over the issue.
He added that their poor response has exposed their claims about autonomy and self rule.
Er Rasheed said “NC seems to have given up its agenda and succumbed to New Delhi’s pressure after its autonomy resolution was thrown to trash bin by then central government and PDP has stopped talking about self rule which also seeks restoration of Sadr-e-Riyasat and Wazeer-e-Aazam.
The facts reveal that these parties used these slogans only to grab votes but later forgot everything.
Now when the high court has given the land mark judgment and also observed that state assembly can rectify the error, it was appropriate for these two regional parties to join hands to pass the bill, but ironically PDP has not spoken even a word over the issue and NC seems confused and also not interested in proceeding ahead in the matter”.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He appealed NC and PDP to show some respect towards the sacrifices and sentiments of Kashmiri’s and should not get afraid of ultra radical forces”.
Er Rasheed rejected the hue and cry over the proposed bill by various circles in New Delhi and said if India doesn’t now agree to restore even autonomy, how can it have a permanent settlement to the dispute.
Er Rasheed asked common masses to generate required pressure on both these parties to support the bill in the upcoming assembly session; otherwise both these parties will further lose their relevance. (KNS)
