Srinagar, Jan 31 (KNS): Days after the Langate legislator, Engineer Abdul Rasheed boycotted the rest of the assembly session over some issue, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker, Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday said that the Engineer Rasheed was reluctant to join the rest of the session.
“I talked to Er Rasheed after he announced to boycott the session but he was reluctant to join the rest of the session,” Gupta told Kashmir News Service (KNS), stating that Rasheed didn’t agree to join the session.
“Er Rasheed has no issues with me, but he has some issues with Lone and Gurezi,” Gupta added, saying that as a Speaker “I tried to convince him join the rest of the session he refused.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
Meanwhile the opposition mainstream political parties said that they raised the issue in the assembly, appealing the Speaker to contact with the aggrieved legislator.
Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Muhammad Yasin told KNS that he raised the issue in the assembly. “I have already raised this issue in the assembly and appealed the Speaker to contact with him,” he said, appealing the Langate lawmaker to join the rest of the session.
