Srinagar, Jul 11 (KNS): PDP General Secretary and former MLA of South Kashmir's Pahalgam constituency, Rafi Ahmad Mir Tuesday said that attack on Amarnath Yatra is highly unfortunate incident, which finds no words of condemnation as Yatris were the guests of people of Kashmir.
Terming it as ‘most inhumane and brutal act of violence’, he in a statement issued to KNS said that attacking unarmed civilians, devoted to their faith without any political interests is no act of valor but cowardice.
Mir said that ethos and culture of Kashmir is of synthesis and there has always been communal bonhomie.

Stating that terrorism has no religion, Mir said that overwhelming condolences from all sections of the society in Kashmir is testimony to the fact that all are grieved and always welcome the yatris with open hearts.
Mir who hails from Pahalgam said that local people of Pahalgam who used to facilitate Yatra and contribute towards its success are deeply saddened and have called one day sit in protest in solidarity with those who were killed.'We will continue to extend our support for smooth conduct of Yatra and such acts won't desist us' he added.
