Srinagar, Jan 22 (KNS): Director General of Police Dr. S.P.Vaid has ordered concerned officers to ensure basic facilities to the guards deployed with the protected persons at their residences or at the vital instillations.
According to KNS, DGP while taking strong notice regarding the lack of basic amenities like wash rooms, toilets, proper accommodations etc at the static guards issued an order vide number 210 of 2017 to all the SSsP and Commandants to conduct inspections of all Guards and places where their men are deployed to see that all the basic facilities are available.
It further says that the concerned police heads after inspections should submit a report to indicate such guards where these facilities are lacking to PHQ by 31st of this month and adds that police heads should also take up the matter with the concerned authorities/ ptotectees where these facilities are not available.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In the order, DGP has also directed all the officers to ensure that no police person deployed on Guard/PSO duty is put to menial work by the concerned protectee/officer and in case of deviation, the concerned police person shall face the departmental action and facility of Guard/PSO to protectee shall be withdrawn.
