Srinagar, Feb 23 (KNS): The engineering students pursuing different courses in dissimilar technical colleges across the Valley on Thursday staged protest against what they termed as the ‘anti-student policies’ framed by Jammu and Kashmir Technical Board authorities.
Scores of engineering students assembled at Srinagar’s Press Enclave and chanted slogans against the technical Board authorities. The protesters were demanding immediate fulfillment of their genuine demands.

The protesters said the technical board has done a lot of wrong evaluations in the past and to save it from embarrassment, the board has taken such decision, which is bound to leave the students to suffer.
Furthermore, the students alleged that the board authorities have also abolished the Bi-annual examination. “From now onwards students who have backlog have to wait for a year to clear backlogs,” they added.
The protesting students later appealed the higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest.
However, the protesting students later dispersed peacefully. (KNS)
