A civil engineer had to witness wrath of contractors as he questioned the quality of the material being used in the macadamization of road in Srinagar
Reports informed KNS that Obaid Qadir Jan, working as a junior engineer in R&B’s Chadoora Division along with the team of other engineers of quality control wing went to inspect the ongoing macadamization of the Airport road.
After witnessing the quality of the material being used in the work as sub-standard, Obaid asked the concerned contractor to replace the material as per the required specifications. The entire quality control staff, present at the site along with Obaid, was allegedly beaten to pulp by the concerned contractor.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Obaid told KNS that only was the staff manhandled by the contactor but the abusive language was also used by him.
He said that he submitted a written complaint against the contractor at Police Station Nowgham and has asked for the necessary action into the matter. He also has intimated the higher officials of his department about the said event.
Meanwhile, FIR number 81/2015 has been registered in the police station Nowgham with the reports informing that investigations into the issue have been initiated.
