Srinagar, April 08 (KNS): Senior vice president People’s Conference (PC) and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil Thursday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end political uncertainty and call all-party meeting immediately on the prevailing situation in JK.

As per the statement issued to kashmir news service (KNS), Vakil was addressing party workers at his residence in Srinagar, he said it is unfortunate that central government has failed to address the uncertainly and chaos, harassment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir including politicians even deprived them mainstream political leaders of different parties from security cover.

He said current political uncertainty, alienation among youth, and increasing unemployment could explode in anger if the Prime Minister fails to initiate a political dialogue with mainstream parties in the region.

"Mr Modi should share his roadmap for development in Kashmir, rather than alienating people with different tactics. The vicious circle of political uncertainty must end. There is incompetent management in administration has disturbed masses," Vakil added.

Vakil said the prevailing situation has further distanced the people from the mainstream and youth are at crossroads as unemployment is at all-time high. The claims of development are restricted only to papers only.

“Surprisingly administration had claimed that they would end unemployment in the region but for the past 18 months they have failed to do anything on ground," he said.

The senior leader also welcomed the peace process and friendly atmosphere between India and Pakistan and that is the only way for peace in the region. It will eradicate the poverty from both nations and people will also have a sigh of relief," he said.

"Every problem can be resolved by means of dialogue and war is no solution to any problem and leads to destruction. The need of the hour is to take people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in confidence for the peace and prosperity in the the region," he said. (KNS)
