Srinagar, Jan 29 (KNS): An encounter has started between militants and Government forces in Mandoora village of Tral.

A police official told KNS that cordon and search was launched in the area after receiving information about the presence of militants .

As the security forces approached the suspected place of militants, an exchange of firing started, he added.

The exchange of fire was going on when the last reports came in.
