Srinagar, Apr 18: Acting tough against the violations of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) guidelines an employee was placed under suspension by the authorities in Srinagar on Thursday.

"One Government employee namely Javid Ahmad Sofi working in SKICC has been found violating the MCC guidelines by participating and facilitating the political party meetings", reads an order issued in this regard.

It also reads that 'the said employee has been placed under suspension with immediate effect."

District Election Officer, Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi ud Din has issued instructions for strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct and dealing strictly with any violation by any employee which comes to the notice of the authorities.(KNS)
