Srinagar July 17 (KNS):   Ms. Tarannum Kadarbhai, Embassy Liaison Officer for Indo Dutch COEs at the embassy of The Netherlands today visited Centre of Excellence (CoE) Zawoora, Srinagar. She was welcomed by Director Horticulture Mr. G.R. Mir and other officers of the department at the Centre of Excellence. Director Horticulture briefed the visiting Dignitary about the objective of establishment of the centre.

Pertinently, the Centre of Excellence is being established under the centrally sponsored scheme Mission for Integrated Development Of Horticulture (MIDH). The Centre, when fully completed, shall have the facilities like production of high-quality fruit plants, Tissue Culture Labs, Bio-control labs, and a weather disease forecasting station. The Centre will serve as a Demonstration Centre for High Density Plantation, Green House Technology, Micro-irrigation, and other latest technology.

Speaking on the occasion, the guest assured all kind of help for the successful completion of the centre. At the end Director thanked the guest for her visit to the Centre of Excellence.(KNS)
