Baramulla, Jul 03 (KNS): An extraordinary meeting of core group was held today under the chairmanship of Baramulla Working Journalists Association (BWJA) at Khowjabagh.
The meeting of core group was presided by the senior journalist and Chairman Baramulla Working Journalists Association (BWJA), Karamat Qayoom.
The meeting was attended by all the core group members including, Gulzar Zargar President BWJA, Anzer Muhjoo Vice President, S Tahir-ul Haq General Secretary, Riyaz Rashid Chief Spokesperson, Iqbal Amin Treasure cum Organizer of BWJA.
A threadbare discussion on various issues was held especially the new elections of BWJA, which was scheduled to be held in the previous month, but due to some unavoidable reasons that couldn’t be held in time.
A committee has been formed including , Zargar Gulzar, Anzer Muhjoo and Iqbal Amin that will talk to other journalists of Baramulla district who are not a part of BWJA, we have been always telling that, all the working journalists of Baramulla should come and work under the banner of BWJA, adding BWJA is a recognized media association that has been endorsed by all the national press clubs across the country, said BWJA chairman, Karamat Qayoom.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Chairman said that, BWJA has been working on the principle lines of journalism and its ethics; we have always supported the professionalism of all the media organization in Jammu and Kashmir and out of station.
President BWJA, Gulzar Zargar in a meeting said that, a screening committee will be also formed that will monitor the new membership forms who want to be part of our associations.
There is a wider platform for the new entrants who could excel their knowledge with zeal and zest in different media organization in a professional manner, said President BWJA.
While highlighting the role of BWJA in present scenario, vice president BWJA Anzer Muhjoo said that, our association has played an important role in highlighting the day today issues in and around Baramulla district.
All the core group members unanimously said that, a meeting of general body of BWJA will be called in the next week where some more issues could be taken for the betterment of an association. (KNS)
